This site has been created for patients who have Colorectal disorders to learn more about their illness and its’ treatment. I hope you find the information on both the conditions and procedures useful in understanding what will happen during your visit to hospital. You will see there are some conditions that are done as a day patient while others requiring surgery will involve a stay in hospital. You will also find information on anaesthesia which will vary with the clinical procedure.

Each of the procedures is explained in clear english ( we have tried to avoid jargon where possible) and tried to openly describe what to expect before, during and after the surgical procedure.

About Richard Miller	Spire Lea Hospital	Nuffield Health Hospital
Richard Miller works at the Nuffield Hospital in Trumpington and the Spire Lea in Impington.  Clinics are run at the Nuffield	Formerly the BUPA Hospital, now the Spire. They work with all major private medical insurers and the hospital has excellent in-patient and day care facilities.	The Nuffield Hospital is situated near Cambridge City Centre. The hospital is modern and well equipped with en-suite facilities.
